June 2010 Mark and Governor Rounds standing by Mark's original painting, "A Capitol Tradition", created by Mark for Pierre, SD's Centennial Celebration put on by the Historical Society. The original was sold on a live auction, but prints will be available soon.



August 2009 Mark 's first and only art student, Payton, age 7 1/2, premeired her first 3 Original paintings at Yankton Riverboat Days. All paintings were 8x10s and consisted of a rose, a landscape and lilacs. 2 of the 3 Originals sold and are shown below:



May 2009 Mark was recognized as one of 3 South Dakota Federal Duck Stamp Award winning Wildlife Artists who have helped raise large funds through contributions of their artwork to benefit Ducks Unlimited.

A plaque was uncovered in their honor at the most recent Conservation project Ducks Unlimited unvailed just West of Brookings, SD. Pictured (left to right) are: Mark Anderson, Josh Spies, John Wilson




May 2009
Mark was recently chosen to be one of a dozen artists to feature Original artwork in the new Avera Cancer Institute in Sioux Falls. Over 100 South Dakota artists submitted proposals and Avera chose about 10% of those who applied. The new Avera Cancer Institute is due to be finished around October 2010.
